Candid and Fun Engagement Session | Hadley and Haley

Engagement

It’s Hadley and Haley’s wedding month, and I couldn’t be more excited! These two are just the best. They are joyful, playful, and so easy to be around. Their candid and joyful engagement session is one I’ll never forget. It’s one of my favorite sessions to date, as it was full of laughter, love, and so much chemistry. Oh, and we can’t forget their adorable pup JuJu, who is easily one of the cutest (and most photogenic) dogs I’ve ever met! Their engagement session was a true reflection of them and their love. We captured so many natural moments that it felt less like a photoshoot and more like a glimpse into a day in their life together.

Candid and Fun Engagement Session

From the moment we started, Hadley and Haley made it clear they were there to have fun and just be together. They were the perfect example of what happens when you show up to a session relaxed and ready to just love on each other.

The secret to any session is to be yourself; that’s the golden ticket to beautiful photos. Hadley and Haley mastered that as they were so comfortable and at ease with each other, which allowed everything to flow naturally.

To enhance that natural flow during sessions, I love using prompts instead of stiff posing because couples can make it their own and have fun with it. These two did just that, and the results are pure magic! Whether they were chasing each other through the field, dancing together, wrapped up in a warm hug, or laughing with JuJu in their arms, every moment felt authentic.

Hadley and Haley’s Love Story

One of my favorite parts of any engagement session is getting to know a couples’ story of how they met, and of course, how the proposal went down. Hadley and Haley knew of each other in high school, but didn’t actually talk until a mutual friend’s party after graduation. A little Snapchat request turned into a late-night meetup at a quiet park in January 2020,  and they just clicked from there. They kept things under wraps at first, but by May 3, 2020, Hadley officially asked Haley to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history.

After dating for awhile, Hadley planned a sweet surprise on their annual trip to Florida. After a relaxing beach day, he asked Haley to dress up for sunset photos, as he was planning to pop the question while she was distracted with the photo. However, they struggled to find someone to take their photo at first. Finally, a kind stranger stepped in to take their picture, during which, Hadley dropped to one knee. Haley said yes through happy tears, barely remembering the words because the moment was just that surreal and sweet.

Now, their wedding day is just around the corner, and I’m already counting down the moments until I get to document the next beautiful chapter of their story.
