Inspired by Palm Springs, this West Texas wedding editorial is our take on Palm Springs wedding inspiration, built from a shared vision and a vendor team that knew how to build on it.
Color came first. We played with a few different palettes before one finally clicked against that deep blue pool. After that, the rest started falling into place. Instead of planning every last detail, we gave each vendor the same direction and trusted them to interpret it in their own way.
Palm Springs was the inspiration, but recreating Palm Springs was never really the goal. We wanted to borrow the feeling, not copy the place. By the end of the day, it felt like its own version of that idea.
Color by the Pool
The first thing that set the tone was the stationery. Wild Mesa Creative designed a full invitation suite, menus and bar signage that introduced the color palette before anything else came into view. The paper goods had plenty of personality on their own, but they also made everything that followed feel connected.
Sonny + Fern carried the florals well beyond the table. Loose stems filled clear umbrellas floating across the pool, turning the water into part of the design instead of just the backdrop. It was one of those details that looked good in theory, but came to life even more once everything was in place.
At the table, sliced citrus became part of the floral design itself rather than something added after the fact. The menus settled naturally into the place settings, and the orange, pink and green tones stood out against the deep blue water without everything needing to match exactly.
Sadie Jo’s Sweet Treats took the same approach with the cake. The textured finish gave it a little more personality, and the piña colada flavor was such a fun fit for the shoot.
The bridal look gave all of that color room to breathe. The gown from Ivory House Bride stayed timeless, while Makeup by Kynz and Erin Do My Hair kept the beauty look polished without competing with everything happening around it.
Looking back through the gallery, what stands out to me most isn’t one individual detail. It’s how naturally each piece leads into the next.
Why the Right Vendor Team Matters
That was probably my favorite part of the whole process.
We all started with the same inspiration, but nobody’s work looked like it belonged to someone else. You can still recognize each vendor’s style, and somehow it all fit together. That’s much harder to create than simply making everything match.
I think that’s what people sometimes miss when they’re planning a wedding. Beautiful design isn’t usually about recreating one photo from Pinterest. It’s about bringing together people whose work you already love, giving them a clear direction and letting those ideas build on each other.
Each vendor brings a different perspective to the same idea and those decisions start to build on one another. Hair and makeup affect the way the bridal look photographs. Florals change how the table feels. Stationery carries the color into smaller details. Every choice starts to influence the next.
That was really the point of this Palm Springs wedding inspiration editorial. It wasn’t just to bring a little Palm Springs to West Texas, it was to see what could happen when a group of creative people shared the same vision and had the freedom to do what they do best.
I hope couples see this and realize that your wedding doesn’t have to be defined by where you live. Inspiration can come from a place you’ve traveled, a hotel you’ve stayed in, a color palette you’ve saved a dozen times or simply a feeling you can’t quite put into words yet.
With the right team, those ideas become something that’s entirely your own.
